Safes

The safe is the basic instrument for the protection of your belongings, it represents a hard physical barrier to overcome that effectively counters burglary attempts.

THE SAFE USUALLY CONSISTS OF

  • a very strong body and door, both formed by an outside and inside steel casing;
  • a compound structure between the outside and inside casing with different resistance levels depending on the product security grade;
  • a lock that controls the opening mechanism of the door. It can be a key lock, a mechanical combination lock, a digital or biometric combination lock with fingerprint recognition.

HOW TO CHOOSE YOUR OWN SAFE?

First you have to consider which kind of safe satisfies your security needs:

  • Wall safes are mostly used in homes for the protection of small values or documents;

  • Certified free standing safes are directly placed on the floor and are made of highly resistant materials, they are particularly suitable for money protection, jewels, documents and values;

  • Light safes, or Security Boxes, protect documents or belongings of low/medium value in residential complexes or accommodations such as hotels or B&B;

  • Double doors safes of big size may contain security boxes or bulky objects, they are chosen by banks or other institutions which need maximum protection;

  • Modular safes are ideal for difficult access locations: they are in fact delivered, disassembled and reassembled on place by specialized personnel.

WHICH LOCK?

The classical key lock is the most common solution, equipped with one or more key duplicates.

The mechanical combination lock needs no power, it guarantees a good security grade but it is more difficult to use.

The digital combination lock may be powered by batteries or self-powered by an inside dynamo.

Biometric locks enable access by fingerprint recognition of the authorized subject.
